Covid-19: BBMP Padaraynapura corporator Imran Pasha tests positive, 21 in quarantine

Bengaluru, May 30: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Padarayanapura Corporator and JD(S) leader Imran Pasha on Saturday reportedly tested positive for coronavirus, forcing at least 21 more people with whom he had had primary contact to be sent to quarantine. Imran tested positive for the virus on Friday which was confirmed in the Health and Family Welfare Department's evening medical bulletin.

The people who were his primary contacts included his wife, their three children, his two drivers, two domestic helps, seven employees of his office among 21 others who have been sent to quarantine. Apart from this, the area of Padarayanapura 13th Cross, where Imran resides, has also been sealed by the authorities.

Reports further said that Imran had actively participated in the distribution drives of food kits and Ramadan kits in Padarayanapura, which was sealed down ahead of Ramadan. Because of this BBMP authorities are reportedly trying to trace those people who had come in contact with Imran. (UNI)
