Bengaluru, May 24: With the reporting of 37 more fresh cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the total number of pandemic cases surged to 2089 on Sunday.
According to official sources, 37 more cases, majority of them from Yadagiri, Udupi and Chikkaballapura were reported, resulting in the number of pandemic cases spiked to 2089 in Karnataka. Earlier in the day fresh cases of 97 COVID19 were reported from several districts in the state. According to official sources, while no deaths were reported due to the pandemic in the last 24- hours, the number of COVID-19 patients, who had been cured was touched to 654 with 46 more persons had been discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
While two persons, who were diagnosed for COVID-19 disease, had been committed suicide, another 42 persons, had been succumbed to the pandemic, ever since the outbreak of the pandemic, in Karnataka. With the additional testing of over 10117 samples for COVID-19 was done, the total number of tests done for the pandemic was crossed to over two lakhs on Sunday. (UNI)
