Bengaluru, May 21 : Karnataka has steadily ramped up its COVID-19 testing capacity, Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar said here on Thursday.
"On Wednesday the Health authorities conducted as many as 7,293 COVID-19 tests, the highest in a single-day and efforts are being made to add more to the capacity," he tweeted. He further said that as many as 53 testing labs have been established across the state that would be increased to 60 by this month end. "Conducting more and more tests will prove helpful in containing the spread of the pandemic," he said. Till Wednesday evening, Karnataka had detected as many as 1,462 COVID-positive cases with 41 lives lost. 536 patients have been cured in the state so far. (UNI)
