Bengaluru, May 20 : The Karnataka Congress leaders on Wednesday staged a protest against the state government’s plans to postpone Panchayats poll, amend the APMC Act and Labour laws. The protest was attended by the KPCC president D K Shivakumar and former Chief minister Siddaramaiah besides other MLAs and leaders.
The Congress leaders, who had also staged a dharna near the Gandhi Statue inside the Vidhana Soudha premises also raised slogans against the state government. The protestors, wearing masks, also held placards seeking the state government to desist from taking anti-poor and anti-labourers stance, and fall prey to the multi-national companies' interests.
