Bengaluru, May 15 : Forty-five fresh Covid-19 cases surfaced in Karnataka in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of infected people in the state to 1032 on Friday. According to official sources, the cases included 16 from Dakshina Kannada district who had returned from Dubai, recently, under the Union Government's Vande Matharam Mission.
Apart from Dakshina Kannada district, as many as 13 cases were detected in Bengaluru Urban district, followed by Udupi (05), Chitradurga (03), Hassan (03), Bidar (03), Bagalakote, Bidar, Shivamogga and Kolar districts, one each. While there are about 520 Active cases are in the state, while as many as 476 persons, who were detected for contracting the COVID-19 disease had been completely cured and discharged from the hospitals. Ever since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state as many as 35 had succumbed to the pandemic, so far in Karnataka. (UNI)
