Kalaburagi , May 14: In Kalyan Karnataka districts of Kalaburagi and Bidar, 7 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported on Wednesday evening, taking the number of positive cases in the region to 21 . Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner B Sharat said that on Wednesday evening six more positive cases of COVID-19 cases were reported in Kalaburagi district, of which 5 were women.
Sharat said that four women who were found infected with COVID-19 had links with 'Dharavi ' slum in Mumbai. They had recently returned to Kalaburagi and the fifth woman was infected after she came in contact with P848, the 19 -year male who had recently returned from neighboring Andhra Pradesh, he said. In the morning two persons, a 45 –year-old male and a hexagenerian who died on Wednesday in Kalaburagi tested positive for COVID-19, hence, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Kalaburgi surged to 81, the health source said. In Bidar also one more fresh COVID-19 case reported on Wednesday evening.(UNI)
