Bengaluru, Feb 9 : The Health and Family Welfare Services Department in Karnataka has informed that it has kept under observation 138 people, suspected of being infected by the Novel Coronavirus.
No cases of the virus have been reported from the state, so far. A total of 104 samples in the state have been sent for tests, out of which 85 have shown negative results. More than 14,000 people had undergone thermal screening at Kempegowda International Airport, between January 20 and February 8.
After confirmation of three cases from the neighbouring Kerala, the border districts have been kept under heavy surveillance. The helpline 104 'Arogya Sahayavani' has received more than 1500 calls so far, related to the virus. (UNI)
