Belagavi, Jan 29: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Wednesday that he will visit the national capital on Thursday and meet the top BJP leadership regarding the expansion of Cabinet, which would take place in the next two to three days.
Yediyurappa said the party high command would take the final decision on how many Ministers would be inducted in the Cabinet, including from Belagavi. Those who won the election, including Hukkeri MLA Umesh Katti, would be inducted.
Names of those, if needed to be dropped from the Cabinet, would also be cleared by the High Command, he added. The present Deputy Chief Ministers would continue and new posts of DCMs would not be created, the Chief Minister clarified. The meeting would be held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national President J P Nadda, he added. (UNI)
