In the backdrop of a stabbing attack on the Congress MLA Tanveer Sait, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Ashwath Narayan has called for a ban on Popular Front of India (PFI) in the State.
"The congress is now reaping what it sowed. We will take all necessary and we hope all political parties now understand that PFI is a violent organisation and needs to be stopped. The CM, the Home Minister and I will do all we can to take necessary steps," he said.
Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister Yediyurappa blamed PFI behind the attack on Congress MLA Tanveer Sait. Yediyurappa also blamed Congress leader Siddharamaiah for 'sheltering' and 'protecting' PFI, the extremist militant organization.
