Belagavi, Oct 27 : Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashok reviewed the situation of flood-hit villages in Belagavi district on Sunday along with senior officers.
He visited the Ambadagatti village in Kittur taluk, Hirebagewadi, Gaddinakere and Kakathi villages and inspected the damaged roads, houses, agriculture field in these places. Villagers urged the minister to repair the damaged roads and asked for compensations to the flood victims and loss of agriculture crops.
Many roads, school buildings, houses are damaged due to recent flood and heavy rain at many places in the district.
Kittur MLA Mahantesh Doddagoudar who was with the minister had explained about the extensive damage caused in the recent floods in his constituency to the minster and appealed the minister to take up relief works on warfooting.
The Minister visited Jatrat village in Nippani taluk, Women and Child Welfare Minister Shashikala Jolle and Annashaheb Jolle, MP, were present at Jatrat village(UNI)
