Bengaluru, Sep 29: The city police on Sunday arrested a van driver, working in a private agency involved in filling the cash to ATMs, after he fled with the van containing Rs 99 lakh.
According to Banasawadi police,the van driver Pavan from Mandya, who was joined the Writers Agency just a week ago, had fled along with the van when the other staff and gunman of the agency were engaged in filling the cash to ICICI Bank in Kammanahalli in the city on Saturday.
Additional Commissioner of Police (East) S Murugan said following a complaint from the custodian of the van, police launched a manhunt.
The cash was recovered from him. Further investigation was underway, police added. (UNI)
