Mangaluru, Sep 29 : BJP National General Secretary Muralidhara Rao on Sunday said that out of the 17 MLAs disqualified from Karnataka Assembly, not one has applied for the membership of the party.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said that as per the party policy, the state committee should recommend the names to the central committee. The final list will be announced from the central committee, he added. He also expressed confidence that all 15 seats in the by-elections will be won by his party.

Stating that in Kashmir valley, since the last 70 years, there has been no reservation for the SCs, STs and OBCs, he said after the abrogation of Article 370, these categories will now be able to avail the reservation benefits. The life was slowly returning to normalcy, he added.

He said as a precautionary measure, 4000 people have been detained, out of which, 3500 have already been released. Only Congress and CPI (M) have been wrongly misinterpreting the people of the country, he added.
