Mangaluru, Aug 30 : Customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport have seized Rs 3.54 lakh worth foreign currency from a Dubai bound passenger yesterday.
Official sources said on Friday that the passenger identified as Khadar Haji was trying to fly to Dubai by Air India flight when he was subjected by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and seized the currencies he was hiding in his trouser pockets.
The currencies seized included 18,500 Soudi Riyals, 260 UAE Diran, 100 Dinar, 2200 Indian currency. The CISF officials handed over the currencies seized to Police and further investigation is in progress. (UNI)
