Bengaluru, Aug 24 : The much awaited the allocation of Portfolios to the newly inducted 17 Cabinet Ministers will be done by evening, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said here on Saturday.
He told mediapersons after his return from New Delhi that there was no glitch in allocating the portfolios.
Stoutly denying that the senior Ministers, who were inducted on Tuesday, were lobbying hard for the plum posts, he said, "I had a talk with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is also BJP national president, on the issue and it would be done by this evening.''
On August 20 Yediyurappa expanded his ministry after a gap of 25 days of taking over by inducting 17 Ministers, including Laxman Savadi, who is neither a member of the Upper House or the Assembly.
Chief Minister, who is said to be under pressure from the disqualified members of the previous Congress-JDS Coalition government, had reportedly delayed in allocating the portfolios.(UNI)
