New State BJP President promises to work in tandem with party workers

Mangaluru, Aug 21: The Mangaluru Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel, who was appointed as the new Karnataka BJP President by the National President Amit Shah yesterday, has promised to take all the leaders and party workers into confidence in widening the base of the Saffron party in the State. Speaking to newsmen after his arrival here on Wednesday, Kateel said that “party National President Amit Shah has reposed faith in me and I will strive hard to live up to his expectations in building the party in Karnataka”.

“I am grateful that Party’s national leaders had put me in leading the party in Karnataka and I am indebted to them” he said. Stating that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is the tallest leader in the State and with his as well as other senior leaders, including Jagadish Shettar, Prahlad Joshi, K S Eshwarappa, guidance I will get more strength to work for the party. “My only target is to take the party to highest pinnacle in the State”, he added.

Maintaining that he has faith in working as a team, he said that “I will tour entire State and will have a continuous interaction with them”. Referring to Yediyurappa, he said that “both Chief Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi focusing on the development of the nation as well as empowerment of all sections of the people in the society”. “State of Karnataka will witness more progress, in the coming days under the leadership of Yediyurappa” he added.
