Bookanakere, Karnataka, July 27 : The newly elected Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday expressed confidence of winning the Confidence motion, to be moved by him in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on Monday.
Speaking to newsmen on his maiden visit to his native village after taking oath as Chief Minister, Bookanakere, in Mandya district, on Saturday, he said “I Don’t think there will be any problem in crossing the hurdle of Confidence vote”.
He said that he had visited his home-village, where his ancestors cousins are still living and said that “it was a great feeling to visit my birth place and home”.
Earlier, the villagers extended a warm welcome to Yediyurappa, women welcomed him with 'Tilak’ and ‘Aarati’. Yediyurappa also visited Yediyur temple and also had darshan of Cheluvanarayana Swamy temple in Melukote. (UNI)
