Bengaluru, Jul 26: Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala to administer oath of office as the Chief minister of the state, to the BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa on Friday evening.

Speaking after meeting with the governor, Mr Yeddyurappa said that 'Governor had invited me to form the government and issued letter to this extent'.

Stating that the swearing-in ceremony would be held between 6pm to 6.15pm, the Chief minister-designate Yeddyurappa informed that he would also invite the outgoing chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and the Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah to attend the event.

The BJP leader was taking the oath of office for the second time in less than 14 months, following the resignation of the incumbent chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who had lost the confidence vote in the Karnataka Assembly on Tuesday. UNI
