BJP in Karnataka is set to form government as the HD Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD(S) alliance failed in the trust vote (105-99).
On the floor test on Tuesday, BJP could garner 105 votes while JD(S)-Congress combine could only secure 99 votes. With this, BJP will form a government in Karnataka soon. BJP Karnataka chief Yeddyurappa will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for a fourth time.
The rebel Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy stood up in the trust vote for Congress. The two independent MLAs did not participate in the voting. All 15 rebel MLAs also did not turn up in the assembly.
