Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy may meet Governor Vajubhai Vala before 7 PM to submit his resignation, according to a latest report by ndia Today TV.
As there is only the support of 102 MLAs on the floor, Kumaraswamy may not go for a risk of trust vote which Speaker Ramesh Kumar was adamant to conduct on Monday by 6pm. BJP enjoys the support of 107 MLAs including two independents.
After resuming the assembly proceedings at 3.30pm after the adjournment, Speaker Ramesh Kumar made it clear that only 10 minutes would be given to all speakers, whether from ruling or opposition, in the assembly as part of swiftly wrapping up the trust vote debate. As the speaker is adamant to conduct floor test by 6 pm, there is not option remains in front of Congress-JD(S) alliance.
The latest report pointed out that soon after everyone finishes speaking on the floor, Chief Minister Kumaraswamy may go and meet the Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala to submit his resignation.
