The Karnataka Assembly session has finally begun on Monday though a bit later than expected due to Speaker’s series of meeting with CM HD Kumaraswamy, Congress leaders such as DK Shiv Kumar and Siddharamaiah and BJP leader Yeddyurappa.
After apologising for the delay, Speaker has started the Assembly session on Monday by allowing the debate for the floor test in Vidhana Soudha. The session was supposed to start at 11am.
Earlier in the day, Speaker, who arrived at Vidhana Soudha at 10:30 pm. It is learnt that the Speaker may go ahead with Assembly floor test on Monday. But as the Supreme Court has rejected the opposition MLAs plea for conducting the floor test on Monday by 5pm, speaker may change his decision, according to some highly placed sources.
During their discussion with the speaker, HDK along with senior Congress leaders sought two more days to hold the floor test from Speaker.
