Adding more fuel to the Karnataka political crisis, the Governor Vajubhai Vala issued a new deadline to the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to face trust vote by midnight on Friday.
Both Congress and JD(S) had rejected the Governor Vajubhai Vala’s earlier deadline to face the trust vote by 1.30pm. Both the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Congress Legislative Party leader Siddharamaiah rejected the deadline saying the trust vote can be taken only after discussion. BJP alleged that the Congress and JD(S) intentionally delaying the trust vote to buy more time.
Siddharamaiah said that there can’t be any trust vote without any discussions. He added that the trust vote may happen on Monday. Siddharamaiah also said that the Governor cannot interfere into the functioning of the speaker. In the light of these developments, Governor issued another deadline for trust vote as on or before midnight.
