While Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD(S) government is facing trust vote, around 21 MLAs are absent in the Karnataka assembly on Thursday.
Right now, around 208 MLAs are present in the assembly to participate in the trust vote, in which 104 from BJP and 98 belong to Congress-JD(S) combine.
Meanwhile, 15 rebel MLAs, 12 from Congress and 3 from JD(S), are still holed up in Mumbai hotel and they have repeated their stand on Thursday of not withdrawing their resignation. Apart from those, 2 Congress MLAs, 2 independent MLAs, 1 BSP MLA, and 1BJP MLA are also absent.
According to the political analysts, if trust vote happens on Thursday there is a high chance of a downfall for the HD Kumaraswamy government.
