As the JD(S)-Congress government is on edge in Karnataka after the resignation of 13 MLAs, all eyes are now on the decision from Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala.
As a next move, there are more than one option before the Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala. Out of these, the most likely option is to call for a floor test. Political pundits believed that the Governor may ask Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to prove his majority in the assembly.
Recommending President’s rule is being viewed as the last resort by political experts. The other two options before the Governor are the dissolution of the assembly on the recommendation of the coalition MLAs or to ask another party to prove its majority.
Meanwhile, former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called the CLP meeting of Congress in Karnataka. Congress leader KC Venugopal and Dinesh Gundu Rao will also be present in the meeting.
According to the party circular, all Congress MLAs have been asked to attend the meeting on Tuesday.
