Bengaluru, Jul 1: In a major blow to the 13-month-old JD(S)-Congress coalition government, Anand Singh a Congress MLA, has resigned to his membership here on Monday.
According to official sources, the Vijayanagara MLA, Anand Singh, had met Karnataka Assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar and submitted his resignation.
The resignation of Singh, had created a flutter in the State, as more number of Congress MLAs, are planning to resign from their seat and reduce the strength of the JD(S)-Congress government.
Apart from Singh, few of the Congress and the JD(S) MLAs are also mulling to resign from their seats, a source said. (UNI)
