Bengaluru, June 30: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday participated in the rituals performed for laying foundation stone to construct Sri Kalabyreshwara Temple in New Jersey, US, and foundation stone was laid today.
According to information reaching here, the Chief Minister, who is currently on a 10-day tour of United States, lauded the efforts of Sri Adichunchinagiri Trust for its effort to take Karnataka's rich culture and heritage in the United States.
The construction of Temple will give boost to spread Indian, specially Karnataka Culture and heritage, in foreign countries and it will help Kannadigas staying here and visiting the worlds richest country and helps in enriching their knowledge about culture and heritage of their home land. Hence People of Karnataka who are staying here and those who visit should contribute their myth for construction of the Temple.
Shri Nirmalananda Swimiji of Sri Adichunchunagiri Mutt was present during the rituals held.
Ministers C S Puttaraju, Sa Ra Mahesh, MLC Bojegowda were among others who were present during rituals held for construction of the Temple in 20 acres of land. (UNI)
