Vijayapura, Karnataka, Jun 27: The Karnataka Government has sounded a high alert through out the State following arrest of a suspected terrorist, a Bangladesh National allegedly having links with a terrorist organization, Home Minister M B Patil said today.
Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that “following NIA team arresting a suspected terrorist Habibur Rehaman, a Bangladesh National, who is allegedly has links with a terrorist organisation, I had a meeting with the CID officials and as a precautionary measure a high-alert has been sounded in the State".
Referring to reports about recovery of two live-bombs at Ramanagara, about 50 km from Bengaluru yesterday, on the information by Habibur Rehaman to NIA “since it comes under the jurisdiction of the NIA I have nothing to add on the subject”.
Replying to a question on Chief Minister admonished the agitating workers at Raichur, for voting to BJP in the Lok Sabha election, the Home Minister quipped that “the agitators belonged to a political party”.
