Doddaballapur, Karnataka, June 25: National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths have arrested a suspected terrorist Habibur Rehman of Jamaita-Ul-Mujauddin, Bangladesh, from a Masque here in Karnataka town close to Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Police sources said that Habibur Rehman is suspected to be the Kingpin behind 2014 bomb blast at Bhardwan in West Bengal in which 2 people were killed and more than 40 injured in an explosion that took place while manufacturing bombs.
He was also allegedly involved in the 2018 bomb blast in Buddagaya, Bihar. He was on the run since last five years and NIA had launched a man hunt to arrest him.Sources said that it was alleged that he was hiding in the mosque here since last five days with the help of a Moulvi.
NIA sleuths from Assam and Andhra Pradesh have also arrived to take him to custody for questioning.Habibur Rehaman was remanded to NIA custody by a Special Judge before whom he was produced. (UNI)
