Bengaluru, June 12 : Continuing their war against corruption, the Karnataka Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths, have unearthed crores of rupees worth properties illegally amassed by three public servants including a suspended Karnataka University Vice-Chancellor.
ACB sources said raids were conducted simultaneously at 11 places including office and properties belonging to suspended Karnataka University Vice-Chancellor Kalappa M Hosamani, North Karnataka District Joida Sub Division Assistant Executive Engineer Uday D Chabbi and Border and Geological Department Assistant Engineer Mahadevappa.
Kallappa Hosamani was suspended as Vice Chancellor as he was involved in Corruption, later he was appointed as Chemistry Department Professor.
While ACB sleuths raided his office, four houses in Dharwad, raids were conducted at four properties of Chabby including Houses and Office and on the houses and offices of Mahadevappa at Mangaluru.
ACB sources said that the raids have confirmed that the above three have amassed wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income and only after verification of documents seized the total value of properties in their names will be known. (UNI)
