Bengaluru, June 5: In an attempt to pacify senior Congress leader and former Minister Ramalinga Reddy, who had expressed his displeasure over the functioning of the senior leaders in the State Congress, former Chief Minister and CLP leader Siddaramaiah assured that Reddy will be inducted during cabinet expansion.

Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday, the former Chief Minister admitted that Reddy is a senior-most MLA in the Congress and should have been in the cabinet. He said that following the demise of Congress Minister C S Shivalli, a vacancy has been created in the Cabinet, and while filling the vacant seat the Ramalinga Reddy's name will also been taken to consideration.

Strongly refuting the report that he had blocked senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge from becoming the Chief Minister of the State, he said that "I am in favor of seeing all the communities get an opportunity to head the State". (UNI)
