Belagavi, May 31 : Former Union Minister and BJP Legislator Basangouda Patil Yatnal today opined that expansion or reshuffle will not solve the problems faced by the Congress-JDS coalition government in Karnataka.
Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, he said that the expansion or reshuffle thought of by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and CLP leader Siddaramaiah will lead to further flaring up the problems among both the party Legislators and will not solve the differences faced now and it will become imminent for the government to fall.
Referring to suspicious death of Hindu activist Shivu Uppar, whose body was found hanging to a tree recently, Yatnal demanded a thorough investigation in to the case and book the culprits with in a week, otherwise the issue will be raised in the next Assembly Session and Statewide agitation will be launched.
Yatnal alleged that Shivu Uppar was protesting against slaughter house mafia and hence he was murdered. "It is not a suicide case as police trying to project it. I demand Rs 5 lakhs compensation to the family members of the deceased."
Congratulating Union Minister Suresh Angadi who was made Minister of State for Railways, he said that many Railway works are pending in this part including laying of Hubballi-Belagavi Track via Darwad, Savadathi Yellamma, Kittur, Bailhongal, Belagavi and confident of pending railway works in North Karnataka region will be completed during Suresh Angadi tenure.
