Mangaluru, May 28: The newly re-elected member of Parliament from Dakshina Kannada, Nalin Kumar Kateel had written a letter to the Union ministry of External Affairs to help out the Indians stranded in Kuwait, who want to return to the motherland.
In a letter addressed to the Union External Affairs Ministry here on Tuesday, the BJP MP had stated that more than 35 youths, who had gone to Kuwait five months ago, were struggling to come back to India, after being cheated by a recruitment agency in the Gulf country.
Stating that some recruiting Agency, which had cheated the youths from Mangaluru, had held their Passports and harassing them from returning to India, he said that “All the youths had gone to Kuwait five months ago on a promise of getting a good job and better salaries ”.
The stranded Mangaloreans had also brought to the notice of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, their plights, the MP said. (UNI)
