Mysuru, May 13: Karnataka Minister for Higher Education and senior Janata Dal (S) leader G T Devegowda today said that party State President A H Vishwanath's statement against former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should not be taken seriously.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Gowda clarified that he has not spoken against Siddaramiah and do not consider statement of Viswhanth seriously. "I heard that Siddaramiah tweeted about me, I have not read it, I don’t know why he has mentioned my name", he added.
Referring to Vishwnath’s statement yesterday, he said that the public representatives should be careful about what they speak. When Siddaramiah himself had told that JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy will be Chief Minister for five years, why should other statements be considered ?, whatever we may say, it will be a waste till the announcement of the 2019 Lok Sabha election results.
He also hit back at those who questioned the temple run of Kumaraswamy. Why is the Chief Ministers temple visit being discussed and mocked at? All the Chief Ministers used to go to temples. If there is no availability of water and fodder, bring it to the notice of the government and there are Ministers for all the Districts, which will be taken care and the opposition should understand this before making allegations , he added.
