BJP denial of ticket was a surprise, but will stand by the party: Tejasvini

Bengaluru, Apr 15 : Tejasvini Ananthkumar, the widow of the former Union Minister has said that she is yet to hear from the Central BJP leaders, about the denial of the party ticket to her from contesting the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat.
Addressing newsmen here on Monday, Tejasvini, who has been appointed as the State Vice president of the party recently said "I had sought to know form the party leaders, reasons behind denial of the party ticket to contest from the Bengaluru South seat, which was represented by my husband for the last five times".
Answering to to a question Tejaswini said she will never seek to ask her supporters to vote for NOTA, as reported by a section of the media.
"The news being floated in the social media in this regard, is baseless and far from truth", she clarified.
Suspecting the handiwork of the miscreants, she said that "A complaint had already been registered in the Cyber Crime police station, seeking action".
Replying to questions, over the statement of the BJP's organising secretary, B L Santhosh, who had said that "party tickets can not be distributed on DNA basis", she said that "after consulting Santhosh on the issue, I will react on it".
She also refused to answer about the charges of harassment of a woman, against the BJP candidate, Tejasvi Surya, she said that "I am not aware of it".
