Bengaluru, Mar 25: Former Karnataka Minister Babu Rao Chavan today tendered his resignation to BJP State Vice President post and to the primary membership of the party.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Monday, Mr Chavan alleged that BJP had indulged in adopting anti-Dalit policy against what it said four years back of assuring Equal right to all. "The slogans have remained only on paper but not implemented. "Except for having Meals in the house of a Dalit by BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, the community people were not taken into confidence".
"Though I was appointed as Party Vice President, I was not invited to any programme and not taken into confidence. Though I represent influential Lambani community, the party has failed to utilise my service properly," he added. (UNI)
