Hitting a new low in hate speech, JD(S) MLA KM Shivalinge Gowda said that people should throw slippers and stones at Prime Minister Modi when he visits Karnataka.
Soon after the speech, his controversial video is doing rounds on social media. Taking a jibe at Modi sycophants, he also said that those who will chant ‘Modi, Modi…’ slogans in Karnataka should be punched in the face.
Political experts say that the speech of Shivalinge Gowda is a violation of election code of conduct. In retaliation, BJP Karnataka took it forward, claiming that Shivalinge Gowda had urged his goons to pelt stones at PM Narendra Modi when he visits Karnataka.
Taking to twitter, BJP Karnataka noted: “Coalition partners were openly issuing threats to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "A clear attempt to wipe out the democracy and install dictatorship is being made under Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s rule”.
