Bengaluru, Mar 11: The BJP MLAs, in Bengaluru city, unanimously supported the candidature of Tejaswini, for the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat, which was represented six times by her husband and Union Minister Ananthkumar, who had passed away recently.
The decision to field Tejaswini, from the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat, was taken at a meeting of the city BJP MLAs, who had met on Monday, at the residence of the former Deputy Chief minister and senior BJP leader, R Ashok.
Tejaswini, who also present at the meeting, had thanked the BJP MLAs, for supporting her to fight the coming Lok Sabha elections, from the seat which was represented by her husband.
Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat has been a BJP bastion ever since the BJP candidate Venkatagiri Gowda, won the seat for the Saffron party.
Later speaking to newsmen, Tejaswini, thanked the party leaders, for reposing faith on her and supported her candidature to fight the coming elections.UNI
