Kalaburagi , Feb 21 : Karnataka Minister for Social Welfare Priyank Kharge, who is also District In-Charge Minister, on Thursday clarified that he has not neglected the development of any constituency in the district including the Chincholi constituency represented by Umesh Jadhav but it was BJP which is provoking him to make baseless allegations for their benefit.
Talking to the press persons after the formal inauguration of various development programes in the city, Mr Kharge said that the State Government has earmarked Rs 100 crore for the development Kalaburagi North and South Assembly segments, out of which Rs 50 crores has already been released.
He said that an action plan for Rs 50 crores has been prepared and inviting tender for works is under progress. Basic infrastructure like laying connection roads construction of drainage, providing drinking water and electricity connectivity will be taken up.
Mr Kharge said that he has not submitted a proposal regarding small and large irrigation projects. Hence, the question of neglecting irrigation projects and development of Chinchili taluk will not arise, he clarified.
He said that no proposal for any irrigation project or development works has been received from Chincholi constituency before presenting the State Budget. (UNI)
