Mysuru, Feb 5 : JDS T Narasipura MLA Ashwin Kumar clarified that he will remain in JDS and whatever the news about his joining BJP is baseless.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, he said that he will not quit JD(S) under any circumstances and will not fall prey to BJP's 'Operation Kamal'
“All the 37 MLAs of JD(S) are like soldiers. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy gave me a political life and I will be with him always," he added.
" I had been to Delhi for a finance meeting. I had taken prior permission from the Chief Minister. None of the BJP leaders have contacted me. I have not thought of quitting JD(S),” he added.
Meanwhile District in-charge Minister G T Devegowda accused the BJP for its continues efforts to dislodge the Congress-JDS Coalition government despite failing in many attempts.
He alleged that BJP is auctioning MLAs like things are auctioned in the market. People will teach them a lesson. The coalition government is strong. Mr Kumaraswamy, who also holds Finance portfolio, will present the budget for 2019-20 on Feb 8.
Earlier he released the poster of Maha Kumbhamela to be held at T Narasipura from February 17 to 19. (UNI)
