Belagavi, Feb 3 : Sitting Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore today said that he is aspirant for Chikkodi Lok Sabha seat in the General election due in April-May.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said that "I have expressed my willingness to contest from Chikkodi seat to the Party High-command, but if the party rejects me ticket, I will work for the party's candidate selected".
He said that there will be no change in the candidate for Belagavi LS seat and Suresh Angadi will continue.
Mr Kore expressed confidence of NDA winning the General Election and Prime Minister Narendra Modi continue since people want him.
Referring to interim budget submitted in the Lok Sabha by Union Minister Piyush Goel, he said that it was a historical budget there is no cast or religion attached to it. Moreover, the General election to the Lok Sabha was fought on National issues and not on regional issues.
He said in Karnataka there is good chance for BJP to win minimum of 20 seats out of 28.
Referring to alleged infighting among leaders in Congress-JDS coalition government, he said that "the infighting has reached its peak and any time 'Divorce' may take place. BJP will never interfere in their affairs.(UNI)
