Police nab Central Prison First Grade Teacher on charges of supplying Ganja to convicts

Bengaluru, Dec 20: Police have nabbed a Central Prison First Grade Teacher on the charges of supplying Ganja to the convicts for cash.

Police said that B Kumaraswamy was arrested from his native village Javagundanalli in Hiriyur Taluk of Chitradurga District in the State.

He was caught while giving four packets ganja of 100 gram each on August 21-2018 to prisoner Manjunath evading security checks. Jail Superintendent filed a complaint with the Police and since then Kumaraswamy was absconding.

Kumaraswamy's bail application was rejected by Sessions Court and he had again applied for bail stating that he was not absconding. He was taken into police custody for questioning. (UNI)
