Bengaluru, Sept 15: In a major relief Special Court for Economic Offences today granted conditional bail to Karnataka Minister for Water Resources D K Shivakumar in connection with seizure of an alleged over Rs 8 crore currency found at a flat in Delhi.
Judge Justice M S Alva in his order granted bail on the condition that Shivakumar has to produce Rs 25,000 Bond and surety for Rs one lakhs. He was also asked not to tamper with the documents and not to threaten the witness.
Shivakumar, though on the interim bail date was up to September 20, was produced before the judge as he was summoned and was granted conditional bail. Earlier, Additional Solicitor General had argued that bail should not be granted as there is possibility of the fleeing from the country. (UNI)
