Coronavirus patients crosses 1100 mark in Jharkhand, 91 more cases detected on Sunday

Ranchi, Jun 7 : The number of Coronavirus patients in the state on Sunday crossed the 1100 mark as 91 more cases were detected across 16 districts after which the total number of patients has increased to 1121. As per the data provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 624 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 490. The total number of deaths caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 7. During the day a maximum of 25 cases were detected from Dhanbad, 13 in Simdega, 11 from Lohardaga, 8 from Jamtara, 7 in East Singhbhum and 6 from Ramgarh. 4 cases were reported from Gumla district while 3 cases each came from Hazaribagh, Latehar and Garhwa districts. 2 cases each were detected from Koderma and Ranchi.

On the other hand the districts of Saraikela, West Singhbhum, Khunti and Bokaro reported 1 case each. On Sunday 17 people were also discharged from different dedicated Covid-19 facilities in the state with 13 being discharged from Simdega and 4 others from Lohardaga also successfully defeating Coronavirus and returning back to their homes. On Saturday also 90 cases were detected in the state. The samples are being currently tested in the state at government facilities including MGM Jamshedpur, RIMS Ranchi, PMCH Dhanbad and Itki Arogyashala Ranchi while samples are also being tested in different private labs in the state. Jharkhand had reported its first Coronavirus case on March 31 as a Malaysian woman had tested positive for Covid-19. (UNI)
