Lockdown: Man facing economic distress kills himself in Jharkhand's Palamu dist

Daltonganj, May 24 : A man, who was stressed due to the prolonged coronavirus-induced lockdown and the consequent economic troubles, committed suicide at Lohrasi village under Pipratand Police Station area of the Palamu district. The deceased has been identified as Baliender Prasad Gupta (42).

The wife of the deceased said her husband was under stress due to lockdown as he was worried over meeting the needs of his family. For days he had not been able to get proper work to earn sufficient money. The body was later sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital. (UNI)
