Jamtara reports first Covid-19 case, overall tally increases to 83 in Jharkhand

Jamtara, Apr 27 : With a patient of Coronavirus being found in this district the total number of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has increased to 83.

Jamtara DC Ganesh Prasad confirming the news said that the patient is a 24-year-old youth who hails from Bikrampur village and has a travel history of West Bengal. He said that the patient was in the quarantine facility in Kundhit for the last 14 days.

The DC said that his samples had been sent to PMCH Dhanbad where it tested positive for Coronavirus.With Jamtara joining the list of districts now Coronavirus has spread into 11 out of 24 districts of the state.

Now District wise Ranchi has 55 confirmed Coronavirus cases which included 2 foreigners, Bokaro 10, Hazaribagh 3, Koderma 1, Giridih 1, Simdega 2, Dhanbad 2 Deoghar 2, Garhwa 3, Palamu 3 and Jamtara 1. Out of these 83 cases, 3 including a couple of men and a woman are dead.(UNI)
