Ranchi, Mar 22 : The state government has decided to extend the Janta Curfew across Jharkhand till Monday morning. Chief Minister HemantSoren has requested the people not to pay attention towards rumours being circulated over coronavirus.
He said that the present government was taking all possible measures to ensure the security of the people and pointed that directions have been issued to prepare isolation wards even at the panchayat level.
Hemant said that the manner in which people have remained inside their homes today was a reflection of their cooperation at this cooperation needed to be further strengthened.
"We have to take a pledge that we will remain in our home in the night also," the Chief Minister said. He said that in this direction the health department has issued necessary instructions to the DCs of the state and the officials will make sure that the instructions are followed from their level and will make sure that in the night also no other programme for gathering of people takes place.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary of the Health Department NitinMadanKulkarni has written a letter to all the DCs and SPs of the state. He said that the Janta Curfew will come to an end at 2100hrs however there is a possibility that some people might organise some programmes or people can come out of their homes which is not acceptable.(UNI)
