Ranchi, Mar 3 : The coalition government of the state led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren tabled its first budget in the assembly worth a total of Rs 86,370 crore for the fiscal 2020-21 which was about Rs 941 crore more than the previous fiscal.
Not only that the government also came up with more than a dozen new schemes including a short term loan waiver scheme for the farmers, providing free power upto 100 units, providing free treatment upto Rs 5 lakh to all the people of the state similar to the likes of Ayushman Bharat etc.
Health Scheme For all: The state government has decided that all the people of the state barring state and central government employees will be provided free health care treatment upto Rs 5 lakh similar to the likes of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
The families who will be additionally included in the scheme the insurance company will pay Rs 1 lakh while for the cost of treatment above Rs 1 lakh and upto Rs 5 lakh the beneficiary family before being discharged will pay the 50 per cent while the remaining 50 percent will be paid by the state government. 'Dhoti/Lungi and Saree Yojana: 57 lakh families who are covered under the Antyodaya scheme will be eligible for this scheme under which they will be provided Dhoti/Lungi and Saree at Rs 10 twice in a year. Chief Minister Special Scholarship Scheme: Students studying in government schools from classes 1-12 will be provided scholarship under this scheme and the benefits would be extended to all the students without making any discrimination.
Additional Rs 50,000 for PMAY: The state government has also decided that under the PMAY for the homes which would be sanctioned during the year 2020-21 the beneficiary will be provided additional Rs 50,000 by the government moreover the person would be free to construct the house as per their local needs. 100 units of free power: Families who would be consuming less than 300 units of power they would be given 100 units of power free.
