Ranchi, Feb 17 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday slammed the state government for not taking effective action in the wake of the massacre of tribals in Chaibasa and warned that the BJP would take to the roads and raise the issue in the assembly and the parliament if the law and order situation did not improve.

Addressing a function organised at the Jagannath Maidan in Ranchi on the occasion of merger of Babulal Marandi led JVM-P with the BJP, he said that a team of the party has submitted a report on Chaibasa inciden. Shah said he has never seen such horrific images before which showed the men had been mercilessly beheaded before their wife and children.

"It was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who created Jharkhand and it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who ensured proper development of the state, and, therefore, BJP will not allow the destruction of Jharkhand to happen," he said. Mr Shah said that the BJP accepted the mandate given by the people of the state and assured that the party would work harder in opposition. He said the BJP would fully cooperate with policies or programmes aimed at the welfare of the people but it would not ompromise on corruption, terrorism and extremism.

Mr Shah said Modi government's Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides health cover of Rs 5 lakh, has enabled people to get treatment in renowned hospitals of the country. He said the wait for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is also over after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced formation of a trust which will take up the construction of a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Claimed that all the long pending problems before the nation for decades are being solved under the Modi rule, the Union Home Minister said the BJP government scrapped the Articles 370 and 35A and integrated Jammu and Kashmir with the other regions of the country. (UNI)
