Ranchi, Feb 12 : The Jharkhand has been allocated a sum of Rs 3,221 crore for development of different railway projects in the state in the Union Budget 2020-21. A statement issued by the South Eastern Railways here today said a sum of Rs 171 crore has been sanctioned for doubling or 17.1 kms of railway track between Pardhankunta Junction-Pathardih Bazar-Bhojudih line.
Further a sum of Rs 580 crore has been approved for doubling of MuriBarkakana railway lining having a distance of 58 kms. To create a diversion line for the underground fire hit Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway line having a length of 43.8 kms worth Rs 438 crore. Similarly due to underground fire on DhanbadChandrapura railway line to construct a double line between Bhojudih-Talgoria a sum of Rs 129 crore has been alloted.
The state has been also allotted a sum of Rs 106.5 crore for construction of Madhupur by-pass line. (UNI)
