TSPC ultra held in Latehar with 2 semi-automatic rifles, more than 250 cartridges

Latehar, Feb 5 : In a joint operation conducted by Tandwa and Balumath police an ultra of the TSPC (Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee) was arrested from Hesajharia forest under Chandwa Police Station area of this district.

Police said that Latehar SP had received a tip-off regarding presence of 18-20 members of the outfit in the forest area after which a joint team police personnel from Chandwa and Balumath conducted raids. Upon seeing the police the ultras fled from the spot but one was nabbed by the police.

The arrested ultra was later identified as Jagdhari Ganjhu alias Jaleshwar a resident of Lawalong Police Station area of the neighbouring Chatra district. From the arrested 2 semi-automatic rifles, a country made gun, 262 pieces of live cartridges, 3 mobiles and a couple of ammunition pouch have been recovered. (UNI)
