New Delhi, Jan 13: A dreaded Naxal carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head was gunned down in an exchange of fire at Jharkhand's Dumka area, early on Sunday morning.
According to official sources, the ultra, identified as Tala Da, was killed during a joint operation by Sashastra Seema Bal's 35 Battalion Dumka and state police, based on a specific input in Shikaripara of Dumka district in Jharkhand.
The firing continued for almost four hours, before the dreaded rebel was killed.
Police forces have seized fire arms, while the cordon and search operation was still underway in the forest area, based on the inputs. (UNI)
